We had our system installed in the mid-90s. It never totally worked properly - kept interfering with the phone every so often even though we called out for service many times in the beginning. Finally we gave up and since we never used their service in 15 years, we finally cancelled over the phone. I was told there would be a billing for the following month... wasn't happy about it but and ok. That was in August. In late Sept., we called and they said write CANCEL on the invoice which was done and they received on Sept. 23. Called them again in Oct. to cancel. It's mid-Nov. and we just got another bill. It's almost impossible to cancel their services. They have also called to ask why we cancelled and sent letters to try to get us to re-up. I just got off the phone with them and they said they actually gave us a credit so it's less now. It'll be a cold day in you know where before they get it. :x
